Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own how Elastic Security is packaged, priced, and sold on Elastic Cloud Serverless. You will design tiers, meters, and add-ons, balancing customer value with cost of goods sold while shaping a sustainable margin.

This role requires collaboration with Finance, Engineering, Sales, and Product Marketing. You will articulate pricing strategies to CISOs and procurement teams, test options against demand, and drive the revenue, margin, and adoption

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in product management, with security or cloud data products preferred.
• Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing.
• Ability to present pricing to CISOs and procurement teams.
• Understanding of multi-tenant cloud services and cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Redesign how Security is packaged and priced on Serverless; define tiers, entitlements, and meters.
• Own margin; model cost of new security capabilities and set pricing requirements.
• Grow Security on Serverless from concept to renewal; manage migrations and retention.
• Define cost controls for search configurations, data tiers, and retention for security use cases.
• Turn pricing decisions into shipped product with PRDs and PRFAQs; collaborate across teams.
