Job summary

Elastic seeks a Principal Product Manager to own how Elastic Security is packaged, priced, and sold on Elastic Cloud Serverless. You will define tiers, meters, and margins, shaping a consumption-based model and ensuring healthy profitability.

Qualifications

• Led pricing and packaging for a SaaS or cloud product end to end with margin modeling.
• Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing and simplifying complex models.
• 7–10 years in product management, including security or cloud data products.

Responsibilities

• Redesign how Security is packaged and priced on Serverless, defining tiers, entitlements, and meters.
• Own margin and model costs with Platform and Finance; set pricing requirements before feature ships.
• Grow Security on Serverless from PoC to renewal and manage migrations, expansion and retention.
• Define cost controls for search configurations, data tiers, and retention for security use cases.
• Simplify packaging and pricing estimators; establish a clear measure of price quote speed.
• Write PRDs and PRFAQs; coordinate with Security Engineering, Billing, and Cloud Operations.
• Engage customers to understand willingness to pay and communicate pricing to CISOs and procurement.
• Lead pricing discourse with AI cost modeling and consumption-based approaches.
