Job summary

Toast, Inc. seeks an experienced engineering leader to guide the Config Platform team in building resilient, scalable systems powering live updates across a global enterprise.

You will drive architectural strategy, mentor senior engineers, and champion a culture of high performance and innovation. You will oversee end-to-end delivery of mission-critical services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development while maintaining reliability and security

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering and operating mission-critical production services at scale.
• Ability to articulate sophisticated project roadmaps and empower engineering cohorts to drive them toward fruition.
• Experience with distributed architecture and end-to-end ownership of high-throughput systems.

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable systems that are critical to our customers’ success.
• Define and drive long-term technical architecture and strategy across the entire organization, aligning executive business goals with platform capabilities.
• Sponsor and mentor senior engineering talent to grow the next generation of technical leaders across the company.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
