Job summary

AppGate is seeking a Staff or Principal Platform Engineer to build and operate the foundational AI platform, spanning APIs, cloud and self-managed solutions. You will own the platform for AI products, ensuring speed, reliability and observability, and you will set technical direction while remaining hands-on.

Qualifications

• Extensive platform, infrastructure or SRE engineering experience.
• Track record of operating production systems at scale.
• Strong DevOps depth with IaC, CI/CD, containers and orchestration.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Observability expertise across APIs and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build the Platform: design, build, operate cloud infrastructure, services and pipelines for AI and cloud products.
• Implement Observability: instrument APIs and AI/ML infrastructure with metrics and alerting; define SLOs.
