AppGate is seeking a Staff or Principal Platform Engineer to build and operate the foundational platform for its AI products in New York City. The role combines deep DevOps expertise and hands-on AI/ML operational experience, prioritizing reliability and observability in the infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure management, aiming to optimize the performance and reliability of AI services. This hybrid position offers a competitive salary with performance bonuses and equity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of extensive platform or infrastructure experience for Staff-level roles.
• 12+ years for Principal-level roles.
• Strong command of cloud platforms and containers for infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate cloud infrastructure for AI products.
• Implement observability across APIs and cloud services.
• Build and operationalize model serving and inference pipelines.
