Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Planner at multiple grade levels to enhance outage and project efficiency. You will help develop long- and short-range maintenance plans and coordinate with teams to produce detailed work plans for outages and projects.

The role varies by level with increasing education, skills and experience requirements. Primavera, Business Objects, Pasta, Plant View, Excel and Word are used in this work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or two years of maintenance-related experience.
• An additional four years of work-related experience in outage/project planning, outage/project field work activities and/or plant operations; or equivalent education/work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing plans to improve outage efficiency and coordinate cost/duration input.
• Prepare detailed plans for project, outage and maintenance work assignments.
• Review work orders for accuracy and use scheduling techniques for planning activities.
• Produce final outage plans and assist with long-range maintenance and staffing plans.
