Placements24 is seeking a Principal Pharmaceutical Formulation Scientist for a senior role in Welkom, SA. You will lead development programs, guide research strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance innovative drug formulations.

Formación

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline.
• 8+ years in pharmaceutical formulation development with lead/scientist experience.
• Experience with drug delivery systems and dosage form design.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (ICH).

Responsabilidades

• Lead formulation development of solid, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms.
• Design pre-formulation studies and physicochemical characterization of APIs.
• Develop and optimize formulations for oral, parenteral, and topical routes.
• Conduct solubility, stability, and compatibility studies.
• Oversee scale-up and tech transfer from lab to pilot and commercial scale.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for formulation characterization.
• Stay current with literature, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with analytical development, process development, and regulatory affairs.
• Mentor junior scientists and provide scientific leadership.
• Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory submission documents.
