Job summary

Praxis Precision Medicines is seeking a Principal Scientist, Formulation Development to lead drug product development from discovery through late-stage clinical development. You will translate promising compounds into robust, phase-appropriate formulations and scalable manufacturing processes, partnering with Discovery, CMC, Regulatory, and external partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical or biochemical engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline with 8+ years of industry experience.
• Deep understanding of physicochemical and biopharmaceutical properties and how they inform formulation and drug product design.
• Experience leading formulation development and manufacturing process development from early-stage work through clinical supply.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation strategy across programs, representing Formulation/PD on CMC and project teams.
• Design, oversee, and interpret formulation studies for novel candidates.
• Develop phase-appropriate formulations and manufacturing processes.
• Partner with Discovery and other functions to support preclinical and clinical development.
• Drive technical execution with CDMOs and ensure external activities meet Praxis standards.
• Author and contribute to formulation development reports and regulatory sections.
• Influence and enable others through cross-functional collaboration.
