Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Modeling Simulation & Analysis to join our Performance Simulation teams in developing high fidelity simulations for missile design and flight test support.

The role requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience, with C/C++ programming and Python/MATLAB skills. U.S. citizenship and interim security clearance eligibility are required. Onsite work, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant prior experience.
Experience with object-oriented, C, or C++ software programming.
Experience using Python or MATLAB for evaluation of data sets.
Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analysis of physical systems.
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required prior to start; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
Develop and implement modeling solutions, conduct trade studies, and evaluate system and subsystem performance.
Work in a team environment, guiding other team members as needed.
Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulation activities per program schedule.
Develop approaches and solutions across multiple projects from concept to fielded product.
Provide technical expertise for simulation products and interact with government counterparts as needed.
