Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Principal Engineer in Cranberry Township, PA, to lead initiatives in the Dynamic Simulation Lab and expand our modeling capabilities across the Nuclear Industry.

You will define and drive project work, collaborate with internal teams and external partners, and explore AI/ML enhancements to improve simulation workflows and product optimization in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics/Nuclear Engineering.
• MSc in Engineering or related discipline (Simulation, Nuclear, Mathematics) or recognized equivalent.
• Experience with advanced simulations and Machine Learning or data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead specific projects within the Dynamic Simulation Lab and take an active part in simulation activities.
• Engage with team members within all Westinghouse organizations relevant to modeling and simulations to understand needs and ongoing activities relevant for the Dynamic Simulation Lab.
• Follow modeling and simulation activities and development within the Nuclear Industry and other relevant areas. Initiate and take an active part in external collaborations.
• Be part in introducing new technology, including AI/ML, to promote more efficient simulation workflows, product optimization and introduce simulation to new areas.
