Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer based in Baltimore, MD to design and validate ruggedized electro-mechanical hardware for military applications.

The role leads engineering teams, manages schedules and budgets, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust solutions while upholding our standards for quality and security. Candidates must be able to obtain US govt clearance; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or related fields; and 4 additional years may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, build, and test validation of ruggedized electronic equipment for military applications.
• Lead engineering teams and interface with other mechanical engineers, analysts, program management and customers.
• Manage schedule and budget for assigned projects and communicate any issues impacting goals.
• Contribute to knowledge base and process improvements through coaching and knowledge transfer.
• Support all phases of the product life cycle from requirements analysis to environmental test.
