Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the SDS Support and Training (S&T) Support Equipment team. You will coordinate with suppliers, review designs and integrate with NG teams to ensure adherence to requirements.

Strong attention to detail and communication are essential. The role involves participating in design reviews, CAD work, and development of mechanical products for defense programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum 2 years (level 2) or 5 years (level 3) of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience performing CAD modeling with Siemens NX or similar.
• Experience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements.
