Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and sustain mechanical systems supporting government missions. You will apply engineering principles, perform analyses and simulations, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure robust, compliant solutions.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with relevant experience, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work with external customers.

Qualifications

Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience or a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
US Citizen and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
2 years of experience working with external customers to meet program expectations
Experience using CAD tools (Siemens NX or equivalent) for modeling

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure for government missions.
Apply mechanical engineering principles to design, modify, troubleshoot, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Perform analyses, simulations, and testing; collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with electrical, software, and aerospace disciplines.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide guidance to junior engineers.
