Northrop Grumman in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to advance welding and fabrication processes for high-value gear and turbine assemblies. You will develop tooling, optimize production flows, and work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, machinists, and welders on site. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience or a Master's with 3+ years, plus experience in automated welding and GD&T concepts.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with automation/robotics in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with welding processes and procedures.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Preferred: knowledge of welding symbols, Mil.S standards and Tech Pub.

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize welding and fabrication processes.
• Develop tooling and fixtures and end-to-end manufacturing plans.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability (DFM).
• Lead qualification and certification of welding processes and personnel.
• Support continuous improvement and capital equipment deployment.
