Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer to support the production of marine propulsion and power generation systems, focusing on gearing, turbine assemblies, machined parts and weldments.

You will develop processes, tooling, inspection plans, and provide guidance to design for manufacturability, with a 4th shift schedule (Fri–Sun, 12-hour shifts) and competitive salary ranges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering with 5+ years of relevant work experience or Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new processes and tooling with machinists, assembly mechanics, welders and engineers.
• Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan and verify equipment efficiency.
• Develop processes applicable to statistical process control and provide guidance to design for manufacturability.
