Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment Inc. is seeking a Principal Systems Designer for Live Service to own event and social systems, shape onboarding, and work with designers, PM and UX as a senior IC on the Meta & Live Service team.

You will drive event formats, progression economies, and community features, leveraging telemetry and user feedback to iterate and improve live services while reporting to the Design Director, Meta & Live Service.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in game design, with at least 4+ years on live-service titles after launch.
• Demonstrated ownership of event systems or social systems on a live title.
• Fluency in progression and economy design.
• Ability to scale systems with templates and configuration.
• Influence across Production, Engineering, UX, Narrative and Product without formal authority.
• Telemetry and player feedback-driven iteration.

Responsibilities

• Design events: reusable formats, end-to-end flow, currencies, pacing.
• Shape social and community systems to nurture a growing player base.
• Partner with teams to integrate features into a social layer.
• Define onboarding integration with FTUE and telemetry.
• Set standards for spec, instrumentation, reviews, and iteration.
