Qualifications

• 15+ years in data and knowledge engineering, or AI and ML engineering, including leadership.
• Architected and shipped large-scale data/knowledge systems used by many teams.
• Deep expertise in knowledge modeling, ontology and taxonomy, entity resolution, knowledge graphs.
• Hands-on with LLM-powered and agentic systems, including RAG and GraphRAG.
• Experience with AI infra: vector/graph stores, model serving, cloud data platforms at scale.
• Semantic layer and metrics strategy for consistent business definitions.
• Data and knowledge governance: lineage, provenance, quality, access control, responsible AI.
• Strong programming skills; able to write/review production code.
• Pragmatic yet forward-looking architecture; balance quick wins with long-term vision.
• Excellent communication; able to influence across business and engineering.
• Experience mentoring teams of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
• BS in CS/DS/etc; MS or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the agentic knowledge architecture and Knowledge Graph.
• Architect the agentic intelligence layer, including retrieval & memory.
• Define semantic layer strategy for BI and AI consumers.
• Lead governance for knowledge quality, provenance, access, and responsible AI.
• Evaluate graph/vector stores and tooling; document tradeoffs.
• Prototype reference implementations and production-grade code.
• Deliver quarterly business outcomes while aligning with long-term vision.
• Define evaluation frameworks for coverage, retrieval quality, accuracy.
• Bridge business needs with technology; align across teams.
• Mentor data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
