Job summary

Intuit Customer Success seeks a Principal Knowledge Engineer to architect the data and knowledge foundation powering knowledge graphs and agentic intelligence across the organization.

You will define and own the knowledge architecture and governance for the ICs data platform, guiding a team of data scientists and engineers while staying close to code to prototype and unblock challenges.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data and knowledge engineering or AI/ML engineering with technical leadership.
• Track record shipping enterprise knowledge graphs or semantic platforms in production.
• Deep knowledge of ontology design, taxonomy, entity resolution and knowledge graphs.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered and agentic systems including RAG and GraphRAG.
• Experience with AI infrastructure: vector/graph databases, embedding pipelines, cloud platforms.
• Defined semantic layer and metrics strategy across BI and AI.
• Strong programming ability and willingness to review production code.
• Ability to align business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the agentic knowledge architecture for ICs data platform and knowledge graph.
• Architect agentic intelligence layer with patterns for retrieval, reasoning and action.
• Define semantic layer strategy for consistent business definitions.
• Lead data and knowledge governance including quality, provenance and access control.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions for graph stores, vector stores and tooling.
• Prototype reference implementations and contribute production-ready code.
• Balance short-term needs with long-term architectural vision.
• Define evaluation frameworks for knowledge coverage, retrieval, groundedness.
• Communicate architecture to business and tech teams; gain alignment.
• Mentor data scientists, engineers, and analysts; grow the knowledge engineering practice.
