Job summary

Outsource Consulting Services, Inc. (OCSI.co) is seeking a Principal Engineer - Mechanical HVAC Design for a client in Aiken, SC. The candidate will lead HVAC design efforts for nuclear/process chemical environments, develop design outputs, and coordinate with clients and vendors.

Requirements include 10+ years in HVAC design, DOE Q clearance eligibility, and strong leadership. The role includes site field work, adherence to safety and project schedules, and collaboration with SRNS processes.

Qualifications

• Must have 10 years HVAC design experience in nuclear or process chemical industry.
• Knowledge of NFPA 90A/90B/91/801, ASHRAE Fundamentals, ASME AG-1/509/510, SMACNA, ARI 410/430/450.
• Ability to walk down systems in the field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define scope of technical programs and develop effective, quality solutions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less senior professionals.
• Prepare plans including schedules, budgets and personnel requirements.
• Develop design output documents including calculations for equipment sizing, duct sizing, pressure drops, tower sizing and loads.
