Job summary

Eka Robotics in Cambridge, MA seeks a Senior / Staff / Principal Test Engineer to own the test strategy for next-generation robotic systems, lead end-to-end validation, and ensure hardware performance meets safety and IP standards.

You will design fixtures, build automated test equipment, analyze results, mentor engineers, and drive test methodologies across programs, including regulatory certifications and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in hardware testing, ideally in robotics, medical devices, or aerospace.
• Leadership experience across multiple programs and test infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

• Own comprehensive test plans for electrical components, PCBs, and mechanical sub-assemblies.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test equipment, fixtures, and reusable test infrastructure.
• Lead functional, environmental, and stress testing; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Validate PCBAs and electrical components; support board-level troubleshooting with engineers.
• Mentor teams, establish testing best practices, and communicate results and risks for hardware releases.
