Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (Principal) to serve as an elite technical authority, field to engineering leader across the Infrastructure Software Division. You will embed with large enterprise accounts during platform modernizations, AI deployments, and extensive migrations.

You will bridge enterprise architecture with production code, influence multi-year roadmaps, and codify reusable deployment patterns for cloud-native workloads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in high consequence infrastructure and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to command technical credibility with C-suite stakeholders.
• Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native primitives.
• Experience with distributed AI platforms and GPU infrastructure.
• Migration of legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Go/Python/Java for systems-level development.

Responsibilities

• Bridge core engineering, product management, and enterprise customer architects.
• Architect and validate production-grade vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) topologies.
• Design and deploy real-time LLM inferencing and distributed AI runtimes.
• Lead end-to-end migration strategies for legacy systems and AI workloads.
• Engineer production operators/CRDs and upstream contributions into core ISG codebases.
• Influence product roadmap with field pain points and architectural patterns.
• Set patterns for containerizing and orchestrating large distributed systems.
• Define cross-platform integration strategies across OpenShift, EKS, GKE, AKS.
