Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (Principal) to act as a technical authority and field leader across the Infrastructure Software Division. You will embed with the largest enterprise accounts, drive platform modernizations, and codify repeatable deployment patterns for complex workloads including AI inference.

You will influence product direction, mentor others, and push for scalable, zero-downtime migrations while collaborating with R&D and customer architects at the highest

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant years of experience may substitute.
• 17+ years related experience required.
• 10+ years software engineering experience with 5+ years in high consequence infrastructure, distributed systems, AI platforms, or Kubernetes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Bridge core engineering, product management, and C-level enterprise customer architects.
• Architect and validate production grade vSphere Kubernetes Service and VMware Cloud Foundation topologies for critical deployments.
• Design and deploy real-time LLM inferencing, RAG pipelines, and distributed AI runtime frameworks across GPU clusters.
• Lead end-to-end migration strategies from legacy bare metal systems to unified cloud-native Kubernetes targets.
• Engineer high-value prototype integrations and upstream contributions into ISG codebases.
