Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a hands-on Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to accelerate delivery within Mastercard Services. Youwill deploy into Services programs as an internal partner, writing production code, removing blockers, and applying AI-first practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience shipping production-grade systems.
• Advanced experience with containerization and orchestration across cloud environments.
• Deep experience building with AI and agentic solutions, including LLMs, RAG, and agent frameworks.
• Breadth across languages, frameworks, domains, and codebases.
• Strong development practices: CI/CD, automation, testing and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly into Services product and engineering teams, shipping features and code.
• Provide surge engineering capacity during critical delivery spikes.
• Diagnose bottlenecks across architecture, performance, and delivery processes.
• Stand up new capabilities and transfer them to the product team.
• Move across Services to align effort with priorities.
