Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Forward-Deployed AI Engineer to lead embedded AI transformation across business units in the United States. You will identify high-value opportunities, design production-grade AI solutions, and mobilize teams to adopt new AI-enabled workflows.

You will partner with leadership to scale adoption, develop internal capability, and measure impact through enabled agents and orchestration across domains.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production-grade systems.
• Deep experience with AI technologies including LLMs, agents, and orchestration.
• Experience delivering enterprise AI solutions with measurable business impact.
• Strong facilitation and coaching abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to align technical solutions with business priorities and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Embed within business units to identify strategic AI opportunities with measurable value.
• Lead AI transformation engagements from discovery to capability building.
• Develop repeatable transformation approaches and playbooks for adoption.
• Coach engineers, analysts, product managers, and ops teams on AI-first practices.
• Architect multi-agent solutions and orchestration frameworks for production use.
