Job summary
IFS is hiring for a Principal-level AI and Forward-Deployed Engineer in the Aerospace & Defense space. You will architect and ship AI-powered mobility solutions, working closely with customers to deploy in their environments while defining technical direction and policy across product groups.
You will own end-to-end delivery, drive modern software practices, and mentor teams in a role that blends hands-on coding with strategic leadership.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience leveraging AI for building products and deploying AI in production.
- Mobile engineering background with production mobile app shipping experience; strong iOS focus.
- Principal-level impact with leadership across multiple teams or product groups.
- Experience deploying enterprise software in customer environments, including ERP/CRM/IoT integrations.
Responsibilities
- Define and shape the next-generation mobility solution for aviation maintenance.
- Design and ship AI-powered product capabilities with ML integration and RAG.
- Embed with customers to deploy, integrate, and operate solutions in real environments.
- Own end-to-end delivery across design, development, testing, deployment and operations.
- Lead technical strategy across product groups and mentor engineers.
- Ground technical decisions in customer evidence and business value.
