Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Forward‑Deployed AI Engineer to lead embedded AI transformation efforts across business units. You will identify high‑value AI opportunities, craft production‑grade solutions, and mobilize teams to adopt new AI operating models.

You will partner with leaders to demonstrate outcomes, build internal capability, and scale agentic AI across the enterprise through hands‑on engagements and training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems.
• Deep experience with AI technologies including LLMs, agents, RAG architectures, orchestration and AI app development.
• Experience building enterprise AI solutions with measurable business impact.
• Strong facilitation and coaching to educate technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable influencing stakeholders and redesigning workflows with business teams.
• Experience mentoring and developing technical talent on real-world projects.

Responsibilities

• Embed within business units to identify strategic AI opportunities with measurable value.
• Lead AI transformation engagements from discovery to design, implementation and capability building.
• Develop reusable playbooks and training assets to accelerate enterprise adoption.
• Design production-ready AI assistants, agents, and orchestration frameworks.
• Coach engineers, analysts, product managers, and operations teams on AI-first ways of working.
• Establish governance, observability and responsible-AI practices across engagements.
