Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal / Senior Principal Engineer Systems Test - Aviation Safety Official, onsite in Palmdale and Edwards AFB, CA. The role requires a Secret clearance and provides opportunities to lead aviation safety initiatives within the Test and Evaluation team.

The position offers growth in safety leadership, regulatory compliance, and program-level risk management with responsibilities spanning audits, SRM, and safety training.

Qualifications

• Must have a STEM degree and related professional/military experience as specified for Principal/Senior Principal level.
• Active US Government Secret (or higher) clearance (or eligible).
• Ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance.
• Background in aviation operations dealing with aircraft.
• Experience with DCMA 8210 standards.
• Ability to lead, train, and develop safety materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safety products to comply with DCMA 8210-1D.
• Advise on aviation safety matters for the program.
• Maintain mishap statistics and assist investigations.
• Coordinate safety audits and publish safety materials.
• Lead safety meetings and training programs.
