Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Principal Early Supplier Involvement Engineer to drive hardware co-design, manufacturability, and supply chain readiness for our Data Center AI Infrastructure platform.

You will bridge System Architects with Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical Engineering teams and suppliers, engaging early in concept phases to derisk high-density architectures and high-power delivery systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Thermal & Liquid Cooling DFM: review fluid dynamics, materials compatibility, leak-mitigation designs, manufacturability.
• High-Speed PCBA & interconnects: early DFM/DFT reviews for AI accelerator boards, PCIe Gen 6/7, optical interconnects.
• Power delivery systems: optimize ultra-high-density PDUs, power shelves, VRMs for 100kW+ rack architectures.
• Rack-Level Mechanical & Structural Integration: GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis for chassis and racks.
