Job summary

ZT Systems seeks a Director of Mechanical Engineering to lead the design and development of advanced server solutions. You will direct architecture, prototyping, validation, and production for electro-mechanical systems, collaborating with electrical, thermal, firmware and manufacturing teams.

You’ll mentor engineers, drive cost/performance tradeoffs, and push manufacturing innovations to deliver high-quality products on schedule for global customers.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in mechanical/structural design of electro-mechanical systems
• 5+ years leading engineering teams and delivering complex systems
• Strong background in thermal management, vibration control, sheet metal and injection molding

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical engineering team from concept through production for server and rack-level systems
• Direct architecture reviews, prototyping, validation and implementation
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, firmware and manufacturing teams to ensure cohesive development
• Engage with customers and suppliers to capture requirements and deliver tailored mechanical solutions
• Balance cost, performance, quality, and schedule across multiple concurrent programs
• Mentor and develop engineers; drive innovation in design and manufacturing processes
