Job summary

Designworks Talent is seeking a Principal Hardware / Machine Design Engineer to lead the hardware design of GPU servers and rack-scale infrastructure. The role requires translating vendor reference architectures into production-grade systems that optimize performance, reliability, and cost, while partnering with ODMs/OEMs and data center teams.

As an early infrastructure engineer, you will own the physical design from concept to deployment, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to shape

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing GPU-based servers and rack-scale infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of GPU server architectures, including NVIDIA and AMD reference designs.
• Experience partnering with ODMs/OEMs to design, qualify, and manufacture production hardware.
• Strong understanding of rack-level infrastructure, including power, cooling, airflow, and serviceability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and configuration of GPU servers and rack-scale infrastructure using vendor reference architectures.
• Collaborate with ODMs and OEMs to develop, validate, and optimize production hardware platforms.
• Own rack-level architecture including mechanical layout, power distribution, and thermal design.
• Evaluate new GPU platforms and server technologies for next-generation AI workloads.
• Coordinate with data center engineering, networking, and operations for seamless deployment.
• Balance performance, reliability, manufacturability, scalability, and cost in designs.
• Support hardware validation, qualification, and production readiness for large-scale deployments.
• Help establish engineering standards and design best practices as the organization grows.
