Job summary
ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, seeks a Principal ESI Engineer to drive hardware co-design and manufacturability for next-gen AI infrastructure. You will bridge system architects, mechanical/thermal/electrical teams, and key suppliers early in concept phases to de-risk high-density thermal architectures, PCBA complexity, and power delivery systems.
You will collaborate with EMS partners, PCB fabricators, and vendor teams to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and cost efficiency while leading
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in NPI engineering, hardware design, supplier tech development, or DFM for high-density compute hardware.
Responsibilities
- Drive hardware co-design and integration with engineering teams and suppliers.
- Partner with thermal cooling vendors to optimize manufacturability and reliability.
- Lead early DFM/DFT reviews with EMS and PCB suppliers for high-density AI accelerator boards.
- Oversee prototyping, ramp, and risk mitigation with primary suppliers.
- Identify single-source risks and drive second-source strategies or modular redesigns.
