Job summary

Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the FuzeRx team to improve patients’ lives through a better pharmacy experience. You will work on prescription intake, processing, and fulfillment, partnering to configure billing, benefits, and clinical workflows for various use cases.

The role emphasizes backend/full-stack development with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript/JavaScript, and PostgreSQL, plus strong system design and mentorship to elevate the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience in a high-volume, high-throughput production environment.
• Deep background in Backend or Full Stack technologies, operating within modern environments (like our core stack of Ruby on Rails, TypeScript/JavaScript, and PostgreSQL).
• Expertise in architecting complex systems for long-term maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with experience building high-volume, resilient systems.
• Proven track record of technical best practices, including code style, documentation, code review, bug fixing, and production issue mitigation.
• Relentless in pursuing impact through your work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain services powering prescription intake and processing from intake to fulfillment.
• Improve intake automation by leveraging ML to parse unstructured prescription data.
• Integrate dispensing history and risk scores into the pre-dispense safety and review step.
• Collaborate to enable billing, benefits, and clinical workflows tailored to use cases.
• Mentor other engineers and promote best practices in software development and design.
