Job summary

Schwab Technology Services is seeking a Distinguished Engineer to drive the technical strategy for our retail web and mobile platforms, shaping the CET architecture across sales, marketing, and customer support. You will lead senior engineers, mentor teams, and advance AI-driven experiences with secure, observable, and scalable patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 15+ years of software engineering and architecture leadership.
• Experience governing AI-enabled digital experiences, incl. generative AI and AI search.
• Strong emphasis on responsible AI, privacy, observability, and risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy and design for retail web and mobile platforms.
• Provide architectural guidance across CET platforms for sales, marketing, and support.
• Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems for online customers.
• Review designs, architecture, and code; elevate engineering quality and governance.
• Collaborate with Product Management and User Experience teams on ideation and planning.
• Lead architecture for client-facing AI capabilities across web and mobile.
