Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Senior Principal Test Engineer to join our RAD organization in San Diego, CA or El Segundo, CA. You will oversee all facets of the test program, including staffing, planning, execution and reporting, across lab, ground and flight tests.

The role requires a BS in a STEM field with 8+ years (MS with 6+ or PhD with 4+ acceptable), and the ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SAP clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM field with 8+ years of ground and flight test experience, or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
• Experience leading flight test programs and test campaigns.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US Govt Top Secret clearance (and SAP clearance).
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Strong program risk, opportunity and issue management skills.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate lab, ground and flight integration and developmental testing.
• Manage test plans, schedules, and reports.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation and closure plans.
• Coordinate multi-site test activities with engineering and program management.
• Lead test engineering personnel in a matrix environment.
