Job summary

Crusoe Energy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to serve as the department’s technical authority on power distribution, protection, and switchgear design for modular integrated electronics buildings and critical power infrastructure.

You will define engineering standards, oversee complex power studies, mentor engineers, and ensure NEC/IEEE/UL compliance. Open to relocation, this role drives technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration in a high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master’s degree in Power Systems preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience in switchgear design and modular infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for power distribution and switchgear design (low/medium voltage).
• Define engineering standards and technical strategy for modular units and critical power infrastructure.
• Lead protection schemes and select protective relays to ensure system reliability.
• Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers; drive a culture of technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, UL, NFPA standards and code interpretations.
