Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join our Power Systems organization. This senior role leads design, construction, commissioning, and long-term operation of power plant assets across the USA, bridging front-end design with field execution.

The candidate brings 6+ years in industrial electrical engineering, NEC expertise, and strong collaboration with engineers and field teams. Travel ~20% to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 6+ years in industrial electrical engineering.
• Expert working knowledge of NEC application to industrial installations.
• Strong communication skills with engineers and operations personnel.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end engineering for capital projects, including layout and sizing of power systems.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure design deliverables meet project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning of power plant assets.
• Troubleshoot electrical failures with Field Operations and optimize existing infrastructure.
• Specify and integrate high and medium voltage equipment (34.5 kV GIS, GSU, MV/LV MCCs).
• Utilize IEC 61850 protocols and protection coordination studies.
