Job summary

OKSI is seeking an Electrical Engineer V to act as a principal-level technical leader, setting strategy across our hardware portfolio and guiding next-gen defense and environmental science electronics.

You will drive architecture decisions, mentor senior engineers, and engage with customers and partners while advancing a broad suite of embedded systems, sensors, and power subsystems. Remote-friendly with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Extensive track record leading complex electrical systems from concept through fielded deployment.
Expert-level knowledge of low-power design, sensor integration, and signal conditioning.
Familiar with MIL-STD-461, IPC-610, ISO, ITAR/EAR compliance.
Ability to set technical direction and influence outcomes across engineering, management, and customers.
Proven lab testing, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Set electrical engineering strategy and technical standards across the full hardware portfolio including mixed-signal PCBs and embedded controllers.
Drive adoption of new technologies to improve speed, reliability, and competitiveness.
Serve as senior technical authority in design reviews, risk assessments, and customer engagements including proposals.
Guide architecture decisions for embedded processors, FPGAs, sensors, and power subsystems with software and systems leadership.
Own the technical growth of the EE team; mentor senior engineers and shape hiring decisions.
Lead resolution of complex hardware issues and field failures with significant impact.
Represent OKSI's capabilities to customers, partners, and vendors; guide lifecycle and technology roadmaps.
