Job summary

OKSI is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead design of cutting-edge electronics for AI-powered defense and commercial systems. You will own mixed-signal, embedded, and sensor-interface hardware from requirements through production release in SWaP-constrained form factors.

You will guide senior and junior engineers, work with vendors on PCB fabrication, and collaborate with software teams on hardware/firmware interfaces.

Qualifications

• Lead design of complex electrical systems with SWaP awareness.
• Experience with outsource partners in product development.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics and design methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mixed-signal PCBs and embedded controllers.
• Define electrical requirements and validate hardware against targets.
• Integrate processors, FPGAs, sensors, and power subsystems.
• Own workstreams from requirements through release and provide guidance.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and trade studies.
• Develop test procedures and lead lab validation (thermal, vibration, EMI).
• Collaborate with vendors on PCB fabrication and manufacturability.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay engaged with emerging technologies.
