Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer in Livermore, CA to develop production-ready probe card designs from complex customer requirements.

You will work with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to translate needs into precise electrical solutions and to ensure manufacturability and quality throughout the design lifecycle. The role emphasizes strong impedance control, PDN and signal integrity expertise, along with mentoring of engineers and ongoing

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical design fundamentals and high-speed routing.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro, Siemens PADS or similar tools.
• Background in semiconductor test/wafer probing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-ready probe card electrical designs meeting specs.
• Translate requirements into electrical design solutions and nets.
• Review designs for manufacturability and compliance before release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to resolve issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design tooling improvements.
