Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Livermore, California seeks a Sr Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the design of probe card mechanical components and assembly processes.

You will lead characterization, modeling, reliability analysis, and design debug from qualification through production testing. Responsibilities include failure analysis, documentation, technology transfer, and training to ensure seamless integration across development and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
• Advanced degree without experience may be considered for a different level or path

Responsibilities

• Design probe card mechanical components, development test vehicles, and tooling fixtures.
• Generate, release, and maintain design drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Develop probe card mechanical assembly processes, create work instructions, and conduct production training.
• Execute fundamental probe card performance characterization in a lab environment.
• Provide support for production and customer applications related to mechanical assembly issues and implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis.
