Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. seeks a Sr Principal Technical Support Engineer in Livermore, CA, with strong expertise in probe card technology and wafer testing.

You will serve as a key interface among customers, product engineering, and field service to ensure rapid issue resolution and continuous product improvement. The ideal candidate has extensive semiconductor test experience, hands-on mechanical and electrical debugging, and comfort with onsite and remote customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
• Experience with FormFactor probe cards or similar technologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of MEMS, cantilever, and vertical probe concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for FormFactor probe card products across production environments.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and process issues affecting probe card performance.
• Lead RCA and collaborate with FA lab to drive corrective actions.
• Develop product and process expertise; guide setup, Overdrive, contact force, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Deliver training and technical reviews with customers; create detailed failure summaries.
