Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Digital Design Engineer to design and analyze digital circuits for missile applications. The role focuses on high-speed digital electronics, FPGAs, memory, and interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.

You will lead design, analysis, simulation, test and integration of digital modules and CCAs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering digital circuit design experience including at least 2 of: electronic design, multi-assembly system design, or verification via test and integration.
• Experience with PCB design process and tools for schematic capture, analysis and simulation prior to hardware execution.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test and integrate digital electronic modules/CCAs for missile applications.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic and multiprocessor designs.
• Work with interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI and UART across hardware designs.
