Eaton seeks a Principal Engineer - Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) & Reliability to drive advanced DFSS practices across programs, partnering with product teams, quality, lab and MBSE chiefs. The role leads complex technical work, delivers data-driven decisions, and mentors engineering teams to raise capability and product outcomes.

Hybrid work (onsite and remote) with relocation assistance, located in Milwaukee/WI or other U.S. sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• 10+ years in product development, systems or reliability engineering or related roles.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or DFSS expertise.
• Hands-on DFSS/reliability tools in development, validation and problem solving.
• Independently lead root-cause analysis, FMEA, test planning and data-driven decisions.
• Experience coaching cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
• U.S. immigration sponsorship not offered.

Responsabilités

• Lead DFSS/reliability practices across programs with standard templates and deliverables.
• Drive root-cause analysis, risk reduction, DFMEA/DFR, DOE and reliability data.
• Define test strategies, plans, instrumentation, MSA, and acceptance criteria.
• Translate results into corrective actions and reliability-growth plans.
• Coach engineers and project teams to build capability in DFSS practices.
• Collaborate with labs, manufacturing, quality, and design teams.
