Eaton Corporation is seeking an Engineering Specialist – Reliability in a hybrid role with on-site work at Arden/Asheville, NC, Charlotte, NC, or Greenwood, SC. You will drive reliability strategies across design, manufacturing, and field performance to improve robustness and reduce failures.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field with substantial experience in reliability engineering, DFSS, DoE, and statistical methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a technical role.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in advanced (R&D) engineering or new product development programs.
• No relocation benefit offered; within 50-mile radius of Asheville/Arden, NC, Charlotte, NC, or Greenwood, SC preferred.
• Sponsorship restrictions apply; immigration sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive system reliability and safety program plans; track progress and provide recommendations for program gate decisions.
• Lead Design for Reliability (DfR) initiatives for electrical distribution and control systems; quantify requirements; allocate to subsystems and components.
• Build system-level reliability models; define and manage a system reliability growth plan; use design analysis and testing methods.
• Support DFSS program championing and ensure alignment with corporate initiatives; oversee PROLaunch/DFSS projects and belt resources.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams using A3 and 8D methodologies; drive permanent corrective actions and prevent recurrence across products.
