Job summary

AV in California is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (DevSecOps) to design, develop, and deliver cloud-based software with secure development practices across the SDLC. The role emphasizes cloud architecture, automation, and integration of quality and security into software delivery.

The candidate should have strong C/C++, Java, Golang, or Python skills, CI/CD experience, and Linux DB knowledge. A Bachelor’s degree and active or eligible U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/CS field or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of software, automation, cloud, or DevSecOps experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, Golang, or Python and data structures.
• Experience with CI/CD, testing, and security checks in workflows.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL on Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software with DevSecOps and cloud focus.
• Develop and optimize REST endpoints, databases, and UI components.
• Support testing, security validation, and documentation for customers.
• Maintain build, deployment, and configuration processes across teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to process improvement.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and infrastructure staff.
