Jobgether seeks a Principal Data Scientist in the United States to define the strategic data science direction for omnichannel engagement analytics and to develop AI-powered solutions with measurable business impact.

The role combines deep ML expertise (including generative AI and causal inference) with leadership across cross-functional teams, ensuring production readiness and rigorous evaluation in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data science, ML, or applied science; 6+ years with a PhD.
• Proven ability to set technical direction across a portfolio of AI/ML solutions.
• Experience developing personalization, recommendation, or decision-optimization solutions.
• Deep expertise in causal inference and experimentation with A/B testing and quasi-experiments.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI and AI-assisted development tools.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience deploying AI/ML in cloud environments with production lifecycle.
• Strong track record leading initiatives across cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year data science vision and technical roadmap for omnichannel engagement analytics.
• Identify opportunities where AI and analytics deliver measurable business value and influence senior leadership.
• Prototype generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, and context engineering.
• Establish rigorous evaluation for generative AI systems and scalable recommendations.
• Design predictive, causal, and sequential decision models using multi-source data.
• Set measurement strategies using A/B testing and quasi-experiments.
• Translate strategic objectives into scalable technical solutions with product teams.
• Align marketing, sales, operations, legal, and regulatory teams behind analytic priorities.
• Communicate complex methods and findings to executives with clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy and maintain AI/ML solutions in production.
• Promote best practices in reproducibility, evaluation, and responsible AI.
• Mentor data scientists and lead external analytics vendor workstreams.
