AbbVie seeks a Principal Data Scientist to lead omnichannel engagement analytics within the APEX Enterprise Advanced Analytics and Innovation team. You will define the multi-year science vision for personalized commercial engagement and oversee the AI/ML strategy, methodology, and scientific rigor powering the program.

This role combines deep hands-on expertise in machine learning, generative AI, causal inference, and experimentation with the ability to align a complex stakeholder ecosystem,

Qualifications

Deep expertise in machine learning, causal inference, and generative AI.
Strong engineering discipline in reproducibility, deployment, and enterprise integration.
Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into well-scoped problems and drive solutions.

Responsibilities

Define the Data Science vision and technical roadmap for omnichannel analytics.
Lead hands-on AI work with Gen-AI, LLMs, and context engineering for scalable recommendations.
Develop predictive and causal models to optimize customer engagement and resource allocation.
Establish measurement frameworks to evaluate AI effectiveness and business impact.
Collaborate with product owners to shape problems, outcomes, and success metrics.
Communicate complex methods and findings to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
