AbbVie is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead omnichannel engagement analytics within the APEX Enterprise Advanced Analytics and Innovation team. You will set the multi-year science vision, shape AI strategy, and partner with product owners to deliver scalable AI/ML solutions across channels.

The role requires deep hands‑on expertise in applied ML, generative AI, causal inference, and experimentation, with a focus on measurable business value and executive communication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data science, ML, or applied science with production models that drove business impact.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year Data Science vision and technical roadmap for omnichannel analytics.
• Identify opportunities where AI can drive commercial value and build business cases.
• Lead hands-on Gen‑AI work with advanced RAG and context engineering; prototype and demonstrate value.
• Design predictive and causal models for next-best-action and resource allocation.
• Measure effectiveness with experimental methods and ensure rigorous scientific standards.
• Translate complex methods for executives and align stakeholders around solutions.
