Job summary

CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the design and deployment of data platforms powering AI-driven security products.

You will architect scalable data pipelines for LLMs and agentic systems, guide MLOps practices, and mentor a growing team within the Data Science Platform Engineering Team. Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering/Platform Engineering, with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML platforms at scale.
• Hands-on experience in LLM engineering (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, deployment) and RAG.
• Proven track record designing large-scale distributed systems (sharding, partitioning, concurrency).
• Strong coding skills with clean, well-tested code and fast delivery mindset.
• Experience in engineering practices like peer code reviews and resilient architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and optimize data platforms and pipelines for LLMs, RAG, and autonomous AI systems at Exabyte scale.
• Lead adoption of agentic workflows and harnessing techniques for autonomous security features.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant data solutions with rapid iteration and quality deployment.
• Write production-grade code focusing on performance and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and lead technical workshops, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, PMs, and other teams to productionize research prototypes.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of critical data services: development, testing, deployment, monitoring.
