Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Principal / Senior Principal Cyber Software Engineer to join the Signals Intelligence Mission Solutions team in Chantilly, VA. You will develop software for mission-critical systems, contribute to technical direction, and collaborate across agile teams.

Active TS/SCI with poly is required by start date. The role offers growth in a cutting-edge defense sector with comprehensive benefits and relocation support where available.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with poly eligibility; must be in place by start date.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Bachelor’s in Science; 3 years with Masters; 1 year with PhD.
• Proficient in C# and C.
• Experience developing software for embedded systems using C/C++.
• Experience developing using .NET Framework on Windows.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience in Agile teams with strong delivery track record and SDLC knowledge.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver software to meet mission partner requirements.
• Develop user and developer-level documentation.
• Set the team’s technical direction in line with requirements.
• Collaborate to review and improve development processes.
• Communicate project status, roadblocks, and proposals to team and stakeholders.
• Prioritize development efforts with mission partners.
• Define the complexity, scope, and resources for new requirements.
